Community gardens are just what they sound like: a group of people who share a common space for growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Many people wish they had their own space to grow their own fresh produce and flowers. Community gardens provide this space to those who do not have their own suitable land. Renters, apartment dwellers, and those with shady or soggy property may greatly appreciate a community garden space. They are also utilized by those who simply want to expand their growing space. A community garden can also make gardening a social experience by providing a place to get together with neighbors and new friends who share interests in tending growing things.
Loveland Presbyterian Church has established a community garden because we feel our property allows us this unique opportunity to connect with our neighborhood in a very tangible way. We hope you will join us in our garden and make new friends and meet neighbors.
The Book of Order calls ordained deacons to a ministry of “compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress.”
Considered a model to follow by the Presbytery of Cincinnati, LPC has a strong and active congregational care ministry run by our Board of Deacons. LPC’s deacons are provided the opportunity to exercise their own care giving gifts within the church family, and with friends and family members outside the church. The ministry that our deacon’s gifts provide helps everyone experience God’s love and concern for all people in a variety of ways. It is the duty of the deacons to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress. Please contact the church office if you are interested in becoming a deacon.
Join the men of LPC on the first Saturday of every month at 8:00am in Nisbet Hall for our Men’s Breakfast. Come out and connect with the men at LPC for support and fun over a freshly prepared hot breakfast. RSVP by signing up in Nisbet Hall or by contacting the church office.
Our Men’s Group also takes several interesting field trips during the year and helps to support many of our Mission events.

Pairs & Spares
Pairs & Spares is a social group for everyone at LPC! Singles and couples are invited to meet at local restaurants for food, fun, and connection. Research tells us that loneliness is a significant risk factor for a wide range of mental and physical ailments. God made us to to live in community, to connect with one another, and to build positive meaningful relationships. Join Pairs & Spares at their next event and get connected! See the Events tab for our next gathering.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. ~ Romans 12:12 NRSV
By becoming a link in our Prayer Chain ministry we amplify the power of prayer at LPC. Prayer Chain members are asked to pass along prayer requests and to pray for those in need of immediate prayers – for members within the church and for those in our community. Join our Prayer Chain and connect through prayer with a power greater than ourselves and with one another.
The loving work of our Prayer Shawl ministry provides those in need of comfort and support with a shawl that has been crocheted/knitted by hand in spiritual practice, embodying thoughts and prayers for the receiver. Many blessings are prayed into every shawl.
Compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting have been combined into a prayerful way of passing on love and joy at LPC. Our Prayer Shawl ministry meets monthly to crochet and knit together, but attendance is not mandatory. Please contact the church office for more information.
